Artist's Description
Mom's Flowers. I'm working on a number of variations of this Image to 'work' with different decor colors and preferences. I titled this, "Mom's Flowers", because it was a painting I did for My Mom two years ago. I used watercolor stock and painting with watercolors, Prismacolor Premier Artist's Markers, and Ink.

Hello! Thank you for viewing my work (my passion)! Just a tidbit of background. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston MA, and my interest in Art was inspired by my beautiful late mother, Elizabeth, who was an extremely talented artist! I've taken a number of courses regarding Painting and the History of Art, and have been an artist for over 40 years. The venues which I've used to sell and display my work are numerous. Thank you, Lucia...There's a reason why they're called "Mom's Flowers". My mother was 86 (but didn't look it or act it...she was my confidant and best friend..we had so much fun together). She had knee replacement surgery..surgery went well, then 3 wks later..blood clots. She almost fell in Rehab, when the aid grabbed her under her arm..it caused a hematoma (the size of a football on her back)...which, ultimately killed her. She called me that morning (I was taking her for a check-up w/the Dr.)..she said something was 'sticking' out of her back..Nurse THOUGHT it was a dislocated shoulder ..WRONG. I would have had her rushed to a Boston Hospital..still struggling with that. (I was just telling my guy about my feelings regarding what I wrote just now)..........The FLOWERS...I painted that for My MOM on her LAST Birthday! She LOVED it! It will be 2 yrs. on February 10th..8 days from now..and it still hurts. I'm sorry I wrote a book...! Thank you, Sweetie.....you're a doll for taking the time to look at my work! Again. YOUR work is simply STUNNING!...and you're still young (a beautiful and talented lady!)...you DO have a Wonderful future ahead of you!!
