These mountains were along the dessert (after we passed the Great Salt Lake). We were driving from Utah to Nevada. Even seeing them 'in life', they didn't look real......outstandingly beautiful!
About Diane Strain
Hello! Thank you for viewing my work (my passion)! Just a tidbit of background. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston MA, and my interest in Art was inspired by my beautiful late mother, Elizabeth, who was an extremely talented artist! I've taken a number of courses regarding Painting and the History of Art, and have been an artist for over 40 years. The venues which I've used to sell and display my work are numerous. Dietmar!....I just viewed your work. Outstanding! I love both Rainwork 1 and 2 (really nice wash of hues/color and the 'soft, easy flow of the paint').......actually, so many of them! Great photography, as well! I needed a nice break.....thank you! It's 11 PM in Boston MA...everyone else is sleeping, I'm usually awake until 2-3 AM..when I do my best work! Actually, I fine it hard to STOP to get some sleep! :-)

Thank you. I would imagine we're all the same. Every tree an Artist looks at, they probably think the way I do..What brushes would I use? What medium? I love the look of landscapes early morning and late afternoon, when the sun is low...and the shadows are LONG! Brilliant shades! A photographer must see the 'world' the same way. Really does make life more interesting...and looking much more enriching! Peace!

Dietmar...It's not a painting..it's a photograph that I "worked with"... (I WAS going to do a painting from it but was in the middle of so many others at the time!)
