Artist's Description
I painted 4 very large paintings of Rabbits on the doors of a large armoire for a well known Boston Publisher on Commission. She did NOT want the Rabbits pent it...so the Rabbits found an empty shed to relax! I did much research regarding what Rabbits eat and their habitat. There are many varieties of Rabbits AND many varieties of Dutch Rabbits. This is a Black and White Dutch Rabbit. Dutch Rabbits are what 'we' typically think of when we envision a rabbit! The style is Trompe L'oeil. The Shelf the rabbit is sitting on is painted in, doesn't exist. The wood in background is also part of the painting.
